Matteo Caloiaro
Matteo Caloiaro developed an appreciation and love for art at an early age. It wasn’t until his senior year in high school, however, that he began to seriously pursue art as his profession. After graduating from community college, he attended Ringling School of Art and Design as an illustration major. He graduated with honors form Ringling in the spring of 2007. Matteo currently resides in Florida where he is working full-time as a gallery painter and freelance illustrator. Matteo’s work has been exhibited alongside such modern masters as Hodges Soileau, Clayton Beck III, Robert Liberace, and David Leffel.
Matteo believes his talent to be a God-given gift, and he wishes to use this gift to benefit humanity. His work exhibits a reverence and adherence to Biblical values of faith, love, and hope, and he evinces these same values through the careful interpretation of his subjects. He desires his work to speak to the individual in a profoundly personal and realistic manner – to not only be aesthetically pleasing, but to be spiritually and emotionally inspiring.
