Francine Huot

Francine Huot was born in Chateau-Richer, not far from Quebec City, to a family where studies and culture were very important. In her childhood, using colored crayons, she tried to draw everything around her, which led to dreaming of becoming an artist. Later, while raising a family, she took courses by a well-known artist in Quebec. These courses covered drawing, composition and the proper use of color. At that time, she chose watercolor painting. She developed a special personal technique by which she has become well-known in the art world of Quebec.

Her present acrylic paintings stem from her past experience and success. Her transparent acrylic washes are mixed with heavy colorful brushstrokes. Her landscapes and still-life paintings are exhibited in several art galleries in the province of Quebec.
