A native of San Diego, Brooke Olivares currently resides in Sarasota, Florida where she is an instructor at Ringling College of Art & Design. Brooke and her husband Matteo Caloiaro both teach at RCAD and paint alongside each other in their home studio and wherever their travels take them.
Her works have been a part of exhibitions in numerous states throughout the east coast including Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC, and Massachusetts. Her work was exhibited at the Cahoon Museum of American Art in Cape Cod, MA, The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, OH for the 78th Midyear Exhibition and most recently on display at the 2016 Art of the Portrait Conference at the Portrait Society of America, where she received 1st place for Painting in the International Competition.
